Current SUPER Cup

The OAPE (now SUPER) Cups were created in 2013.  The Cups have embedded vertical lines that accurately measure 1.5oz hard liquor for a measured drink, 5 oz for wine and 12oz for beer - all US standard alcohol measured drinks.  The cup also has a horizontal line for EANABs (equally attractive non-alcoholic beverages) with an infinity symbol.  So, the cups are inclusive for drinkers and non-drinkers alike.  The Cups have been a staple on the Row for many years and are quite popular with students.

Over the years, the Cup have gone through some updates and the most recent iteration of the Cup highlights how they are reusable, industrial dishwasher safe and recyclable. The Cups are regularly distributed to Row Houses and can be picked up by appointment at SUPER in Rogers House.  Email to make a requeast and appointment.

In 2013, the Cups were tested in a Stanford Lab.  Participants, wearing goggles that mimicked moderate and severe intoxication levels, were asked to pour fluid into a clear control cup and the OAPE Cup.  Results showed that under moderate impairment, the OAPE Cup outperformed the control in accuracy of pouring a standard drink.  Under severe intoxication, participants were sadly inaccurate in pouring into any cup, thus showing that people who are severely intoxicated should probably stop drinking.
